Text Rendering OpenGL text rendering


One of the first things I wanted in my OpenGL applications was text. I wrote my own text rendering library using bitmap fonts generated by BMFont. Since my native language (Icelandic) contains non ASCII characters it was important to me that the library was Unicode compatible. It's capable of rendering any Unicode character as long as it has been generated in the bitmap.
